Buying property is a massive financial investment for most; hence the QUALITY OF INSPECTION IS VITAL. The saying of CHEAP QUALITY is rarely good, and GOOD QUALITY is rarely cheap is certainly applicable when it comes to employing the services of a Property Inspector. Choosing an inspector based solely on a lesser inspection fee could prove costly. Amongst other things, it can prevent genuine financial savings and negatively impact one’s Peace of Mind w.r.t the purchase.
Whether buying, selling or facilitating a property sale, I recommend employing an inspector who has an excellent track record and great references. The inspector must be willing to share sample reports of actual inspections, revealing the inspection process and approach, which should be thorough and informative. The inspector should not be an alarmist either but report fully and accurately. These indicators (amongst others) suggest a reliable and professional service underpinned by high standards, which is an absolute necessity for property inspections.
The quality of inspection should always be considered before price alone when deciding on an inspector.
